Welcome to the Web Design Class Page

Purpose of this Site

I will ask you to refer to this page in class in order to give you information such as links and materials that will be dealt with in class. When the time comes, it will also serve as a useful tool for revision. The other important points worth making is that you can communicate with eachother via the comments. An example of naming convention used for the posts is as follows: S2W1 = Semester 2 Week.

Course Outline
Welcome back to school. I hope you are looking forward to 2011 and Semester 2 as much as I am. For those of you that are unaware or have forgotten, the basic weekly structure for this course is as follows:

Mondays Period 6 - Computing Theory
Wednesdays Periods 1 & 2 - Web Design - HTML, CSS, etc
Fridays Periods 5 & 6 - Multimedia

Homework will usually only be given to those who are unable to complete class work to an appropriate standard within the given time.

If you have any questions about the course or need help with a computing problem, please see me during lunch on Wednesdays when the computer lab is generally open to students.

Here's to a successful Semester and 2011!

I found that the pdf about the different advances was quite elaborate, after reading the pdf I realised that different societies would be quite odd in the future. - Darby Thurtell

in the pdf i saw that there are people already thinking about the worlds future and that it is in some ways going to improve the world and in some ways its going to create more problems for us. this world is going to be plain scary!

Some of the items listed on the PDF file about futuristic advances could be true and others could be lie. For example, as birth control pills for men might become accessible, the fact that they would get rid of people working at shopping malls and grocery stores is very unlikely because there is a global issue of unemployment all over the world.

i found out that the repariing roads would leave people with less jobs and self driving cars would ave no use.

I noticed that some things in the near future are do-able but in 20 years from now there's some weird goal like self-driving cars.
